On Saturday the 18th April, we had a lively session on ‘Team
Building” by the well known leadership coach, Sankara Ratna MSJayaraman.
This session was rated as excellent by almost all participants, who
paid rich encomiums to MSJ! Shri A.Mahalingam,Assistant
Registrar,Sankara Nethralaya Academy began the session with a highly
complimentary introduction of the day’s star speaker Shri Manjakudi
S.Jayaraman, he made a grateful reference to the honourary service being
rendered by the Management Guru towards Sankara Nethralaya’s quality
maintenance initiatives by way of regular lectures and training sessions
to employees of various departments at the institution.
MSJ started the programme with a 2 minute video ending with a reflective question “What differentiates a Team from a group” and with that question thrown in, he got the entire ambience simply electrified! Next two hours were full of team activities followed by team presentations.
Four teams were assigned the task of bringing out some specific lessons that they had learnt to turn an ordinary group into an extraordinary, high-performing team! And all the four teams demonstrated thorough their presentations, the art and science of engaging and energizing people in teams!
MSJ also gave the class an assignment which would enable them to discover their own hidden qualities and potential and learn the technique of building the “We” space
Many participants observed that it was a rare session which was ‘full of fun with learning taking place every moment!’
